Park Seong-Yong

Dr. Park Seong-Yong is the founder and President of Culture Masters, an international cultural organization. Through this institute, he is dedicated to the preservation and promotion of global cultural heritage. He also serves as the publisher and editor-in-chief of Arirang Culture Connect, an online platform focused on global intangible heritage, contributing to the strengthening of international cultural links.Dr. Park has had a long tenure as the founding director and Assistant Director-General (ADG), being responsible for developing policy projects at a UNESCO Category 2 Centre in Korea, where he led various international cultural cooperation projects.  He earned his bachelor's degree from Sungkyunkwan University and his master's degree from the KDI School of Public Policy and Management, followed by a PhD in Heritage Studies from the University of Queensland in Australia.  Additionally, he has accumulated teaching and research experiences on the topics of cultural diversity, focusing on cultural heritage and folk cultures in various educational institutes such as Griffith University and the University of Queensland in Australia, and Chung-Ang University and Jeonbuk National University in South Korea. Dr. Park authored On Intangible Heritage Safeguarding Governance: An Asia-Pacific Context, published by Cambridge Scholars Publishing, making significant contributions to the academic field. His scholarly works have been recognized internationally, with numerous papers and articles published in journals and publications across Europe and the Asia-Pacific region.  Dr. Park spearheaded the establishment of the Silk Roads Living Heritage Network, which was officially launched by the Silk Road countries. In addition, he has conducted research on various cultural communities and festivals in Asia and Europe, contributing to the cultural development and protection of heritage globally. Dr. Park collaborates closely with experts supporting the activities of cultural artists and communities. He is also committed to promoting a culture of peace, addressing climate change, and sustainable development globally.
