Kaloyan Nikolov is member of executive board of the Regional Center for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage in South-Eastern Europe under the auspices of UNESCO, president of the European Association of Folklore Festivals (https://eaff.eu/en), CEO of the Euro Folk Academy (https://eurofolk.com), and director of EurofolkTV (https://tv.eurofolk.com). Some of his achievements include earning the Peace Award from IOV-UNESCO, being Cultural Ambassador to Fengxian, China, producing more than 4,000 video documentations on intangible cultural heritage elements, and co-authoring “The Report of Project Mapping the Expertise of NGOs Accredited to the 2003 Convention.” His activities at the ICH NGO Forum (https://www.ichngoforum.org/) include being a member of various working groups for information and technology communication and the overall results framework. For the ICH NGO Forum, he previously was a member of the Steering Committee and Representative for Region II (Eastern Europe). He has also held various positions with the Euro Folk Academy since 2012 and has been active with the European Association of Folklore Festivals since 2007.
